Terms of sale

What you buy, how it is delivered, your right to withdraw, and how refunds work.

Who you are buying from

Digital guides sold on The Bali Compass are sold by Avrankou OÜ, Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia, registration number 17523819. Contact: hello@thebalicompass.com.

What you are buying

A digital file in PDF format, delivered immediately. Nothing is shipped. The number of pages and the contents of each guide are described on the product page at the time of purchase.

Price and payment

Prices are shown in euros and include any applicable tax. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Your bank statement will show THEBALICOMPASS.COM.

Delivery

After payment you are redirected to a download page, and the same link is sent to the email address you provided at checkout. If the file does not reach you, write to hello@thebalicompass.com and we will send it directly. A download that fails is our problem to fix, not yours.

Right of withdrawal

European consumers normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance purchase. For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends once the download begins, and by completing the purchase you ask for immediate delivery and accept that you lose the right to withdraw. This is the rule for downloadable content across the European Union, and it is why we describe each guide in detail before you pay.

Refunds

If a file is corrupted, unreadable, or clearly not what the product page described, tell us within fourteen days and we refund it in full. We do not refund a guide because its recommendations did not suit a particular trip: that is editorial judgement, and the sample content on the site exists so you can judge it before buying.

Updates

Guides are revised between editions. Buyers are told by email when a meaningful update is published, at no additional cost. Prices and opening details mentioned in a guide are dated and verified at the time of writing; they are not guaranteed to remain accurate afterwards.

Complaints and disputes

Write to hello@thebalicompass.com first: most issues are settled in a day. Consumers resident in the European Union may also use the European online dispute resolution platform. These terms are governed by Estonian law, without depriving a consumer of the protections of their country of residence.
